Don Riley's Eye Opener needs to open its eyes😱
Don Riley's Eye in the sky spies Bemidji yet ignores Burnsville?
Did AP's best fiend Elliott don the Don's EYE-DEE and take over the life of Riley in order to rewrite to history of the civil war between north & south hockey in Minnesota?

My EYE IN THE SKY HAS SPIED an insignificant error, luckily before any of the readers. In my defense, packerboy was supposed to proofread and spell check. Besides, it's only fake news if EYE admit to it. Here is the correct ALLphaTimeBestEYEcall order the way EYE meant to present it if EYE wouldn't have been foiled by a certain SSP grad's incompetence: */followed by a recent Challenger if EYE see Alpha fit AHA Burnsville CDH Grecian Traitors Duluth Cathedral Hilltoppers Edina Faribault SSM GR H-M HYPHEN-NATION CHAMPIONEERS IF Jefferson 90's Kennedy 80's Lincoln 70's MH North OMG Plymouth Armstrong had some decent teams in the late 80's Quebec for Ankles Pierre, Jr., n'est-ce pas? Armstrong did have some great players in the late Eighties, and might have been one one the best programs never to make State.
Park was another.
What's YOUR list of alphabest hockey programs never to make it to the MSHSL AA/top class State Tournament since 1975?
Armstrong Brainerd Chaska Duluth Marshall East Ridge Faribault SSM Gentry Academy Holy Family Indus Jackson Kittson Lake of the Woods Minnehaha Academy Northfield Orono Park in the late 80's/Prior Lake lately Quebec, n'est-ce pas? Rosemount St. Cloud Tech Thief River Falls Utica Virginia Willmar Xavier Young America Zumbrota (Zimmerman out due to ER co-op)

Why is it that these various alphabest lists seem to build in strength as YOU reach letter "H" - then again at letter "M" before fading again?
What is it about the letters H/M that make them so dominant?

Replace the slash with a dash if YOU really need an answer to why those letters are relentlessly dominant

Albert Lea, they had some teams that easily would have 1A but opted up to AA for much of the 90’s and early ‘00’s.
Caledonia, they should offer hockey with the number of athletes they have. You can’t blame the kids because the school won’t play hockey.

Icy wat u did ther: they could have 1A in 1A
YOU went from A to C, but as Mondale once said, where's the B?
Why no B as if you're the fake news hidin' Biden's bribin'?

Ankles Pierre, Jr. will organize the first ever Alphabest state tournament for teams that never made the AA or top class MSHSL tourney.
For the letter A, we have Moldy’s Princess Albert Lea versus late Eighties Armstrong which handily beat at least one top rated team from Hill-Murray and had several players later play or coach in the NHL (plus winning Tours des France before being banished in punishment, giving new meaning to cycling in the corner).
All of which makes the score 2-0 in favor of Armstrong after the first period.
How will Moldy and Princess Albert Lea respond in the second?

It is like the press talking to Biden. A slow pitch softball right down the middle......
Albert Lea, unlike STA, Hermantown, Warroad, Breck, Blake, Cathedral, Thief River, East Grand Forks, etc. CHOSE to play at the highest level after the two class split. Chasing trophies was never their goal. A small town choosing to play up......vs. a well to do Hennepin County suburb. Meat packers kids vs. TCF bank management kids.

Hill-Murray and Roseau were smaller than many of those schools and both had won State titles in '90/91 & '89/90, respectively, right before the MSHSL abandoned the legendary all-in-one class tournament.
Moldy & Albert Lea get no extra fake news points in the second period for being small, and Armstrong gets a buzzer beater empty net insurance goal in the third for advancing further in AA sections more often.
Final: Armstrong 3 Uncle Albert Lea 0

Albert Lea has to settle for a moral victory for taking some shots.
The game really was closer than the scoreboard indicates.
Next up:
Brainerd
versus
Buffalo
Who do YOU take in this one, Moldy?

I have a nephew who played for Buffalo, I can’t in good conscience take a school that may have never had a top 3 seed. Brained has a kid in the NHL. I can’t think of a good Breck or Blake team prior to them sandbagging in class A.
I am going off the board and taking Breckinridge/Whapaton.

Ankles Pierre, Jr. is shocked and ashamed that Moldy would throw his own relatives and nephew under the bus, along with the whole community of Buffalo, which has a lake, unlike Buffalo Lake which has none.
Breck has Less Larson, who joins at least 4 Hill coaches and graduates as the winningest in State Tourney history (see rrr.hockey), yet the crass "eh?" thing holds Breck out of this discussion.
Blake was a nemesis of Hill back in the Independent State Tourney days. Governor Dayton held Hill to a scoreless tie and a share of the Prep Championship trophy along with Hill's CHAMPIONEERS. Mark Dayton went on to play for Harvard and become the worst governor in history until the latest governor came along.

Ankles Pierre, Jr. would like to apologize on behalf of Google Android for its spellcheck auto-correct spell-check falsely adding a letter "s" to Coach Larson's first name
Clearly, Les would have been more
