It hurts AP's heart to see that covid has left the Grecian Traitors without internet archive or newspaper microfilm access.
How quickly hackerboy loses sight of the truth that the 2020 Visionary Hill-Murray HYPHEN-NATION CHAMPIONEERS are the most current CHAMPIONEERS of any sport anywhere across the STATE OF HOCKEY!
Of course, the Grecian Traitors are irrelevant and have been long before they double crossed their toes and double crossed all Catholics by praying to avoid Hill-Murray during the 2006 Tourney.
Prayer is powerful and must never be misused. However, we cannot blame their misuse of prayer completely for the Grecian Traitors' later loss of key clutch momentum shifty players, because the Grecian Traitors' hockey decline started decades earlier.
By the early Sixties, in fact, the Grecian Traitors had 10 state hockey titles.
So what has happened since the early Sixties?
The Hill hockey program ... that's what has happened!
Look at the Grecian Traitors since:
one measly title and 41 losses to the Hill-Murray HYPHEN-NATION CHAMPIONEERS.
BTW, just to prove to hackerboy that AP and ilk are not obsessively compulsively fixated solely on Hill hockey,
Ankles Pierre, Jr. plans to diversify and watch the Pittsburgh Penguins play this weekend.
Why not follow Kings or Devils?
Ankles Pierre, Jr. prefers to leave those paths wide open for the Grecian Traitors

The Reaper mentioned "the emergence of Bloomington" in the Eighties.
We supposed to be scared, big bad Reaper?
Nobody in the Eighties noticed either Bloomington school long enough to even keep them straight:
"Which Bloomington school you talking about? The ones in the ugly yellow or weird baby blue Cooperall pajamas?"
Who wears baby blue besides cops and babies?
Two groups YOU do not want to be if Biden gets elected.
Only reason anyone in the Eighties noticed the boys in baby blue pajamas was to giggle.
Did Bloomington even have more than one or two trips to state in the Eighties?
Who did they beat? Irondale? What is that? Another shopping center? White privilege much?
Can anyone even remember that game?
Take your embarrassing baby blue Bloomington bloomers to some other decade ...
the Eighties were Big Time ...
about doing everything bigger, not some one or two appearance baby blue or yellow flash in the pan.

Well, the Men in Black just lost to the apparently racist Canadiens.
Speaking of racist Canadians, a MN Wild ingrate living a life of privilege as an immigrant to America today stood for Oh, Canada but knelt for The Star Spangled Banner.
USA is the most welcoming freedom preserving country in the world!
The only reason UK, Canada & other "free" countries still have freedom is because of the USA.
Do YOU think there still would be a Canada if any of the world's enemies had defeated the United States?
Would YOU be making nearly as much money right now?
Learn some history & show some respect & appreciation for the most freedom loving country on Earth that has welcomed & enriched YOU!
Anything else would be plain Dumba.

In February calling someone a racist was an offensive slur worthy of firing an employee. Come August the CEO of the Mayo Clinic calls us all racists and if we do not admit to being a racist we can be fired. Welcome to 2020!

Moldy, how have you survived the Duluth Atheist censors for so long on Ye Olde Bored?
Edina Cake-Cheater publik skols required an elderly janitor attend a training so BLM could scream at the elderly janitor about the janitor's white privilege ...
Did EYE mention the elderly white man brought to tears for not accepting his guiltly sentence for white privilege was the school's elderly janitor?

As evidenced by the off-white French-Ca adian Twitter avatar above, Ankles Pierre, Jr. might have the only olive skin complexion dark enough to be privileged political opinions online.
Therefore, Ankles Pierre, Jr. will use his unique authority to settle the question once and for all:
Burnsville and Hill-Murray were the programs of the Eighties (with the Braves getting top billing for winning the well remembered series).
Edina was in the top three somewhere for eekimg out the most titles again, including Ikola's last championship, a masterful game plan to upset Hill-Murray, but the Burnsville versus Hill-Murray rivalry defined the decade.
Bloomington Jefferson deserves comment in spite of a couple easy to forget well spaced appearances bookending the decade ... spanning such a large gap that Tourney attendees would have to refer to their programs in order to jog their memories of the Jaguars by decade close.
However, Jefferson's title near decade end was notable in hindsight for its hints of things to come: Jefferson's continued success in the early Nineties and future perennial runners-up ... Moorhead.

APjr is correct as always.
Hill-Murray had the only undefeated season of the Eighties, defeating Burnsville to become the World CHAMPIONEERS!
Incidentally, 1983 was the CHAMPIONEERS third attempt at winning a state title game with all three having the added pressure of having their undefeated seasons on the line.
Twice before, the CHAMPIONEERS had won MN Independent STATE titles, but without the pressure of defending undefeated records.
Burnsville in black and Scott Bloom were fitting villains for the Eighties, plus Edina and Ikola stood in the villain role for the 1988 title game ... finally fulfilling the all the newspapers' and hockey fans nearly two-decades old calls, dating from the late Sixties and early Seventies, for Edina and Hill-Murray to meet for the first time in an official state final game.

Just to be clear, Hill had been in many state finals prior to 1983 ... which was the CHAMPIONEERS third attempt at winning a final ... WHILE ... having the added pressure of having their undefeated seasons on the line (1983, 1980, 1971).
Of course, the CHAMPIONEERS had many other state title games in the Sixties and Seventies, winning two and at least three if "Imaginary State Champions" newspaper sports awards are counted (non-Imaginary: 1969/70 & 1971/72 Independent State CHAMPIONEERS).

Is it my imagination or does a certain Jakesburg Guentzelvania Pensgonnawin have 3 playoff points in 2 games after his "season ending" injury ... and more career playoff points than career playoff games?
Is there any MN program in any decade that can boast developing a better player than Hill-Murray's former #20?
