YOU could really tell how much Coach Lechner cares about kids as he stood by his victorious students.
As my kids smiled watching Lechner embrace his captains and kids of alumni, we already were well aware of how much Coach Lechner cares about kids.
Thank YOU, specifically Coach Lechner and also Hill-Murray community, for all the support and encouragement you showed my family as we battled and prevailed over my daughter's victorious bout with cancer.

Congratulations, Jeff Poeschl, who used to proudly display his hard plastic mask on the top shelf shelf of his varsity locker ...
right next to the varsity locker and top shelf where Ankles Pierre, Jr. proudly displayed his own hard plastic mask (which AP utilized to protect AP's handsome hockey movie star good looks more than to block shots).
Jeff Poeschl might have been the most modest and humble athlete Ankles Pierre, Jr. ever met ...
second only to AP's world renown, relentlessly impressive humility.
Thank YOU for your quiet humor, leadership and dedication to God, Jeff Poeschl!

It WBL bears repeating, Hill boys hockey won its 6th (or 7th to be more accurate) WORLD CHAMPIONEERSHIP in its 60th year including Hill's inaugural 1960/61 season.
Ankles Pierre, Jr. is amazed how little the so-called experts on Ye Olde Bored know about hockey and CHAMPIONEER history.
Wherefore, the 2020 CHAMPIONEERSHIP was carved in stone over a year ago when Hill-Murray was edged in the section final,
still needing one more appearance,
also needing three more state tourney wins,
and at least one more WORLD CHAMPIONEERSHIP before Hill's 6th decade came to a close,
in order to keep several God-ordained streaks alive....
For as any God-fearing member of Hyphen-Nation knows, the CHAMPIONEERS have exactly/at least one WORLD CHAMPIONEERSHIP for every tens years of its storied Hill-story:
1961-1970 (1969/70 Independent; Catholic + private, non-government funded);
1971-1980 (1971/72 Independent; Catholic + private, non-government funded; plus, at least one more "Imaginary" 1970/71 combined public/private title awarded by the press);
1981-1990 (1982/83 undefeated MSHSL & WORLD CHAMPIONEERS);
1991-2000 (1990/91 SHOCK THE WORLD CHAMPIONEERS);
2001-2010 (2007/08 SHOCK THE WORLD CHAMPIONEERS);
2011-2020 (2019/20 Fool 'em once but SHOCK THE WORLD 6th or 7th time HILL-MURRAY HYPHEN-NATION WORLD CHAMPION CHAMPIONEERS).
Other streaks that would have been in danger had not Ankles Pierre, Jr. predicted and God willed this 2019/20 title:
Hill has exactly 6 MSHSL STATE TOURNEY appearances in each of the above 10-year periods (aka: decades to people who know the 1st decade approved by Jesus and His Catholic Church was 1-10 AD ... there are no zero years ... who starts counting with zeroes?... unless, of course YOU start YOUR counting while standing around Grecain Traitors, Roseau County Sheep, or any admin from Ye Olde Bored);
Hill's previous low amount of STATE TOURNEY wins in any single decade was and still is seven (7) games, minimum.

Eye am amused the Publik Skols got caught cheating again:
After decades of Publik Skols lecturing Catholics for not having physical boundaries,
after decades of Publik Skols splitting like Edina East/West and Bloomington just to get more bites at the tourney apple,
then recombining Publik Skols into mega districts far exceeding their city boundaries like White BeAREA, StillwatAREA, Eden Pr-AREA and the rest of Hennepin County "areas,"
Eden Pr-AREA still couldn't find enough players among the thousands of local students plus transfers from other districts and states just to score one goal against the vastly outnumbered but never outworked Hill-Murray CHAMPIONEERS!
Their teachers go on strike, but Publik Skols never learn.
Every day is HDM ... Hockey Day Minnesota ... H Dash M ... H-M ...

During the CHAMPIONEERSHIP game, AP's first year Squirt son said Strobel tipped the 1st goal.
Looking at the KSTP highlight reel, do YOU agree?
If so, Strobel factored in every CHAMPIONEER goal with a hat trick plus assist.
It might be fun to create a buzz, let people look and decide, to get Strobel the MSHSL credit, attention and full D-1 scholarship (Wisconsin?) he deserves.

DFL sanctuary state policy have let the Wuhan Chinese Communists infect Minnesota and has turned this bored into a ghost forum like Ye Olde Bored.
Eye (o) hate to admit my eye in the sky has proven AP & pistol right again.
My eye in the sky had to spy frame by frame. On the last low angle camera shot from behind the goal it looked like Charlie got his stick on it. Weird effect when stopping and advancing frame by frame: the puck appears to be quarking spookily right through the blade of his stick. The puck disappears behind the blade of his stick then reappears right in front of it, as if both are occupying the same space!
Ironic that the 2020 son's of the last champions of all schools (1991 was the last all school tourney) might be the last champions of all-time and all sports at least for a while.

And left out the apostrophe after packerboy!
My eye in the sky was forced to spy with newfound 2020 vision this year when it came to recruiting in highschool.
Hill-Murray was able to prevail over Eden Pr-AREA's League of Nations NHL hockey team.
At least the Catholic schools are open and honest with their recruiting ...
CHAMPIONEERS recruit everyone ... even the funny trumpet player hamming it up during the fight song after every Hill-Murray goal ... ALL their students are recruited ... many are recruited by simply by having watched one of the 43+ boys state hockey tournaments Hill has dominated over the years.
Eye am asking packerboy to stop spell checking these posts for good Gramer.
Sometimes YOU just have to post the post, so we can all spy what is in it.

Welcome to Hyphen-Nation, Don.
Make sure you eat only fish today, like packerboy, and go confess your sins to a pedophile.
Speaking of apostrophe's (yes, eye know), who makes the best fast food fish fillet readily available in most large suburbs or towns?
McDonald's?
Arby's?
Culver's (my pick)?

So the Grecian Traitor Joe's related to Hill's Joe?
That's impressive, not that everyone in packerboy's family is named Joe, but that one of them had the smarts to jump ship to Hill like Lex did.
Ankles Pierre was disappointed not to see Gleason and all the Woodbury kids the Grecian Traitors recruited out of Hill's front yard.
Grecian Traitors were dominant before Ankles Pierre and Hill's hockey program were born ... more titles than Edina unless YOU let the Hornets cheat an combine titles from different schools.
Next year, if there ever is another hockey season, AP wants to spy St. Cloud Cathedral move up to take the spot traditionally guaranteed to Publik Skol soft and fluffy sheep from Roseau County.
Section 8 St. Cloud Cathedral Section 7 Duluth Marshall Cathedral Section 6 Grecian Traitors or Benilde Spear Majorettes Section 5 Totino Grace Section 4 Hill-Murray CHAMPIONEERS Section 3 Metro East also rans Section 2 Holy Family Section 1 Metro East middle of the PACKERS not the SSP Packers

Now that we live in a world where the Hill-Murray Hyphen-Nation World CHAMPIONEERS
are the last organized team athletics YOU may ever spy,
will packerboy's grandchildren someday ask:
"Who were the Minnesota Twins?
Were they the father and uncle of the last Minnesota Gopher hockey ever recruited,
Charlie Strobel's father and his father's identical Twin?
Wait, didn't his father and uncle play for Wisconsin, the State of Hockey?"
Poor packerboy's grandchildren... .

During the State Quarterfinals, relaxing from a luxury suite above the Hill-Murray band, Ankles Pierre, Jr. slummed around with a member of Edina's 1988 team who still hates the the Hill-Murray Hyphen-Nation World CHAMPIONEERS even still to this year.
Yes, Hill is even more hated than Edina, in spite of everyone hating the Hornets, because Hill also is hated by all the same people who hate Edina ... plus, the Hill-Murray Hyphen-Nation World CHAMPIONEERS are also hated in Edina.
Don't the CHAMPIONEERS hate Edina? Why would they? Catholics are commanded to love their enemies and have too much respect for rivalries to hate anyone. Especially an old rivalry like Edina.
The Hill/Edina rivalry has a long tradition of Edina trying to ignore for reasons Ankles Pierre, Jr. will explain with the help of his time traveling DeLorean:
1969 Edina Hornets win their first publik skol state title 1970 Hill Pioneers win the first ever Independent State Title 1971 Edina win another 1972 Hill-Murray Pioneers win another yet
One would not have the be a Hill grad to notice a pattern, and even the Press took notice, hyping the annual home and away series between Hill and Edina to levels approaching and even surpassing the publik skol state tourney buildup.
In 1971, the Press went so far as to declare the Hill Pioneeers the combined publik/Independent "Imaginary State Champions."
This annual series became somewhat of a no-win scenario for Ikola and the Hornets: if they lost, they risked no longer being viewed as the legitimate state champions; if they won, they risked the Hill-Edina series becoming viewed as being more important than either of the state hockey tourneys.
Therefore, Hill owes Edina a great deal of gratitude for setting up the circumstances, whether intentionally or not, that lead to ending the anti-Catholic bigotry and starting the movement that led to one united, single class tournament that could include all schools, whether government-funded or not.
True, real Catholic CHAMPIONEERS would rather defeat Edina than hate the Hornets, and the all-time series has been fairly even, with Hill having slightly more head to head victories, while the Hornets temporarily lead the state title count.
More back and forth state titles since the Independent/publik merger:
1982 Edina's first MSHSL title as "Edina" since merger; 1983 Hill-Murray's first MSHSL title; 1984 Edina
(even Roseau starting getting into the act for the first time since the MSHSL merger by preceding Hill's next two titles in 1990/1991 and 2007/2008).
